Tonights game is again at Ballinluig against Luncarty. We have a full squad back and Josh is the captain as we feel he is a great leader on the park.

We start the game well and create several early chances. We get caught out a couple of times with offside but we have plenty of chances. A new pairing upfront tonight with CJ playing along side Ando who link up well with several shots on goal but not quite hitting the target. Luncarty look dangerous on the break and midway through the first half this catches us out as we leave 4 players unmarked at the edge of the box and we pay the price as the ball is cut back and a free shot. This puts us off our stride for a bit and minutes later we have 2 lets off. The first is a shot off the crossbar that comes down a foot over the line but is missed by the ref then the second when a shot is blasted just over the bar. We settle again and continue to create chances, Ando rounds the keeper but his shot is cleared off the line and some good saves from the Luncarty keeper and some brave defending keeps us out but I was confident a goal would come. H-T 0-1.
Second half and we look for the same effort but we need to tighten up at the back as Luncarty look dangerous on the attack. Again we continue to create plenty of chances going forward CJ goes past the keeper but a good tackle keeps him out. Ruairidh pulls off 2 good saves in 1 on 1 situations to keep us in it. We push forward with a hard working midfield getting Ando and CJ in on goal several times. CJ hits the post Ando, Murray, Tommy and Euan all having shots blocked and a mad goalmouth scramble still sees us goal-less!! With minutes to go Luncarty again do what we couldn't do all night and score a second and game over! F-T 0-2.

Unlucky lads. The hard work was there tonight and we created plenty of chances. CJ summed it all up for him and Ando 'it just wasn't their night!'. At the back we need to give Stewart and Lewis more help as we are leaving the two of them and Ruairidh to do all the hard word. A credit to Luncarty, they worked hard to keep us out and took their chances. As least both teams tried to get the ball on the deck and play good football when possible and thats good to see. A frustrating game but you never gave up lads and thats good. Lets keep up the hard work and effort. WELL DONE TO ALL.
